Zelenskyy meets EU ambassadors in Kyiv
During a meeting in Kyiv on October 1, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with ambassadors from European Union member states. Piotr Łukasiewicz, the chargé d’affaires of the Polish embassy in Ukraine, reported that Zelenskyy specifically highlighted Polish donations and thanked the Polish people for their assistance.
According to Łukasiewicz, this aid is critical in protecting Ukrainian cities, particularly Kyiv, from Russian jet-powered drones. He noted that such support helps save lives and repel attacks. While the Polish diplomat emphasized this specific recognition, official communications from the Ukrainian presidency provided collective thanks to EU member states without explicitly singling out Poland.
Poland remains a key partner in providing military support, including previous aid packages valued at 50 million euros and potential deliveries of Patriot missile system components.
