Zeljko Obradovic returns as Panathinaikos head coach

Panathinaikos officially announced the return of veteran Serbian coach Zeljko Obradovic after a 14‑year absence. The presentation, held at the club’s T‑Center, drew more than 3,000 fans who greeted him with chants and smoke‑bombs. Obradovic signed a contract running through 2029 and thanked club owner Dimitris Giannakopoulos for the renewed trust.

The event was marked by emotional speeches from both Obradovic and Giannakopoulos, who called the day “one of the most historic” for the club. A commemorative "King Zeljko" T‑shirt was also released for pre‑order. Obradovic, who led Panathinaikos to five European titles in his first tenure, said he is motivated to bring the team back to the top of Greek and European basketball.
