Zemgus Girgensons records first NHL point in Lightning victory

Latvian forward Zemgus Girgensons recorded his first point of the NHL season as the Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Philadelphia Flyers 4-1. Girgensons provided an assist to Pontus Holmberg during the first minute of the second period.

Lightning head coach Jon Cooper praised the line featuring Girgensons, Ilya Miheyevs, and Holmberg, calling it the best line on the ice during the match. Cooper noted the group's ability to compete against opponents Taison Forster and Noah Keats with high intensity and puck control.

In addition to Girgensons' assist, Breanden Points, Ilya Miheyevs, and Brandon Hagel scored for Tampa Bay. Lightning goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy made 13 saves on 14 shots. The victory marks the second win for the Lightning in three games, placing them third in the Eastern Conference.
