Partizan draws 2-2 with Zemun, coach Ilić criticises performance

Partizan opened the Serbian SuperLiga season with a 2-2 draw against Zemun at the UBU stadium, missing a chance to take the lead and stay ahead of title rivals Red Star. Coach Saša Ilić expressed disappointment, saying the team played without the professionalism expected of a club of its stature and criticised the conduct of two recent summer signings.

Ilić noted chaotic moments in the second half, describing the play as “anarchy” and urging players to understand the club’s standards. He highlighted the need for the squad to be completed before upcoming matches, including a league game against Mačva and a crucial Conference League qualifier against Luxembourg’s Una Štrasen.

Separately, captain Vanja Marinković discussed his recovery from a serious Achilles‑tendon injury, saying his rehabilitation is progressing better than expected and that he hopes to contribute soon.
