Zendaya dazzles in Athena-inspired couture at 'The Odyssey' premiere

Actress Zendaya, playing Athena in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film The Odyssey, explained that she studied the goddess’s “wisdom and calm” to prepare for the role. She noted the film, which follows Odysseus’s twenty‑year return to Ithaca, was shot with IMAX cameras for heightened realism.

For the Paris premiere and the global press tour, Zendaya wore a custom Louis Vuitton gown that required 800 hours of hand‑crafted lace work. The two‑tone white dress featured a daring cut‑out torso, a high leg slit and a frilly bolero, complemented by a Messika necklace set with a 14‑carat tanzanite. Throughout the tour she appeared in additional outfits—from a sculptural Schiaparelli haute‑couture piece flown from the runway to London, to vintage Givenchy and Jacquemus looks—each styled by longtime collaborator Law Roach.

The actress’s recent marriage to co‑star Tom Holland was also highlighted in coverage, confirming the couple’s wedding as reported in Esquire. The film is slated for release in mid‑July 2026.
