Actress Zendaya has faced significant social media criticism following an interaction with French First Lady Brigitte Macron during Paris Fashion Week. The incident occurred at the Louvre Museum during a Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2027 collection presentation.

Video footage shows Brigitte Macron approaching Zendaya, who was seated in the front row. While Zendaya greeted the First Lady by shaking her hand and saying, “Hello, nice to meet you,” she remained seated throughout the encounter. Critics on social media platforms, including X, have characterized the behavior as a lack of basic manners and a disregard for social protocol.

Additional criticism arose regarding Zendaya’s interaction with Bernard Arnault, Chairman and CEO of LVMH, as she also reportedly did not stand to greet him during the event.
