Zendure launches HEMS 2.0 energy management system
Zendure has introduced the HEMS 2.0, a Home Energy Management System designed to coordinate energy flows between photovoltaic systems, storage units, and controllable household appliances.
The system offers three distinct operational modes to allow varying levels of automation. The ZENKI mode optimizes energy flows automatically by analyzing dynamic electricity prices, weather forecasts, and consumption data. The Auto mode adjusts energy flows based on current system conditions, while the Expert mode allows users to manually define specific schedules and energy distribution parameters.
To function effectively, the system requires compatible interfaces to manage devices such as heat pumps and electric vehicle chargers. Zendure states that the HEMS 2.0 supports the integration of third-party devices through MQTT and platforms such as Home Assistant and Homey. The system aggregates data regarding PV generation, household consumption, battery state of charge, and connected flexible consumers to manage energy priorities and operating times.
