Zenica-Doboj Canton Government approves academic and veteran aid

The Zenica-Doboj Canton Government has approved several financial aid packages for academic and social welfare purposes.

In support of higher education, the government approved co-financing for the doctoral defense costs of 11 PhD candidates from the canton. Each recipient will receive 1,090 KM to assist with their academic achievements in fields including technical sciences, law, economics, and political sciences. Premier Nezir Pivić emphasized the government's commitment to improving conditions for higher education and fostering a research-oriented environment.

Additionally, the government approved 87,850 KM for the housing resettlement of members of the veteran population. This includes 16,000 KM specifically allocated to Sakib Haseljić, a demobilized veteran whose home was completely destroyed in a fire. Minister for Veteran Affairs Adnan Sirovica stated that providing this support is both a legal duty and a moral obligation to those who served.
