Zenica-Doboj Canton officials recognize student and athlete excellence

Officials in the Zenica-Doboj Canton have held separate receptions to recognize excellence in youth sports and higher education.

Minister for Education, Science, Culture, and Sport Mirza Mušija met with coach Nejra Šabeta and young athletes from the volleyball club ‘Naša škola sporta’ from Kakanj. The discussion focused on the club’s success in federal competitions and the potential establishment of a youth league within the Zenica-Doboj Canton to provide better competitive conditions for younger age groups.

Additionally, Prime Minister Nezir Pivić and Minister Mušija hosted the top-performing students from the University of Zenica. The students, who achieved the highest grade point averages across three study cycles, were presented with the Minister’s Award. Prime Minister Pivić emphasized the government's commitment to increasing investments in education and supporting intellectual potential within the region.
