Zeničko-dobojski Canton boosts veteran entrepreneurship with new funding

The Ministry for Veteran Affairs of the Zeničko-dobojski Canton signed contracts with 97 veterans under the "Prvi biznis" self‑employment program, allocating 12,000 KM to each participant for a total of 1,164,000 KM. Premier Nezir Pivić noted that the program, running since 2016, has helped launch 1,152 small businesses and contributes to the canton’s economic growth.

In a separate round, 94 veterans received support through the 2026 "Biznis plus" program, with a budget of 164,519.24 KM. The funds are distributed across three variants: A for those hiring new workers, B for businesses meeting tax and performance criteria, and C for those maintaining tax registration. Minister Adnan Sirovica emphasized the aim of sustaining and expanding veteran‑owned enterprises and creating new jobs.
