Croatia's Split‑Dalmatia County allocates €748 k for local development projects

The Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds awarded 16 contracts worth €748,000 to local authorities in Split‑Dalmatia County under the Sustainable Development of Local Communities and the Support for Mountain‑Rural Areas programmes. The contracts, part of a national initiative that funds 266 projects with a total budget of €11 million, target communal, social and transport infrastructure such as road repairs, kindergartens, schools and fire stations.

Minister Nataša Mikuš Žigman said the programmes aim at balanced regional development and reducing disparities between Croatian regions. County head Blaženko Boban highlighted the importance of the funds for improving the quality of life in local communities. The programmes are annual, with roughly 266 contracts awarded each year.
