Zeničko-dobojski Kanton defeats Cilicia 8-0 in UEFA Regions' Cup opener

The Zeničko-dobojski Kanton (ZDK) amateur football selection secured a dominant 8-0 victory against the Armenian side Cilicia in the opening round of the UEFA Regions' Cup. The match, held at the NS/FS BiH Training Centre in Zenica, saw the ZDK team, composed of players from the Cantonal and Second Federal Leagues, control the game from the start.

Mirsad Šijerkić led the scoring with a hat-trick. Other goals were contributed by Mustafa Selimović, Anton Tadić, Harun Jupić, Tarik Šijerkić, and Belmin Hajdić. Hajdić also provided multiple assists during the match.

This victory places ZDK in a strong position within their qualifying group, which also includes representatives from North Macedonia and Wales. ZDK is scheduled to host the North Macedonian side, OFS Bitola, in Zenica on September 5.
