Zenith Bank granted extension for H1 2026 audited results
Zenith Bank Plc has received approval from the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) to extend the deadline for publishing its audited half-year financial statements for the period ending June 30, 2026. The six-week extension moves the publication deadline from August 29, 2026, to October 9, 2026.
The delay is attributed to the bank awaiting necessary regulatory clearance. While the bank’s Board of Directors approved the audited statements on July 29, 2026, final publication is subject to approval from its primary regulator. Zenith Bank indicated it may release the results earlier if the regulatory process concludes ahead of the new deadline.
As a systemically important Tier-1 lender in Nigeria, Zenith Bank’s mid-year results are closely monitored by investors for insights into profitability, asset quality, and capital adequacy. The reports are also significant as the Nigerian banking industry navigates the Central Bank of Nigeria’s recapitalization programme.
