Zenith Bank to launch maiden Girl-Child Empowerment Programme

Zenith Bank Plc has announced the launch of its maiden Girl-Child Empowerment Programme, titled ‘Banking On Her Tomorrow’. The initiative is designed to inspire young girls, helping them develop the skills, confidence, and mentorship necessary to pursue future career and educational opportunities.

The programme is the brainchild of the bank’s Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Adaora Umeoji, who is the first female GMD/CEO in the institution’s history. The virtual event is scheduled for Monday, October 12, 2026, following the International Day of the Girl Child.

This initiative joins existing bank efforts to support women and girls, such as the Z-Woman initiative for women-led businesses, the Zenith Women’s Basketball League, and the Women of Honour Awards held in partnership with the Ford Foundation.
