Zenith Energy signs agreement with Traditional Owners in Goldfields

Zenith Energy has signed a formal Project Services Agreement with the Marlinyu Ghoorlie Aboriginal Corporation (MGAC) to increase Traditional Owner and local business participation in energy infrastructure projects across the Western Australian Goldfields.

The agreement establishes a pathway for MGAC and local suppliers to access opportunities in procurement, site services, equipment hire, and logistics related to the Eastern Goldfields Power Projects. A key component of this initiative is a major renewables subproject designed to supply Northern Star’s mining operations in Kalgoorlie. This subproject includes 256MW of wind generation, 138MWdc of solar generation, and a 138MW/300MWh battery energy storage system.

Zenith Energy will fund, build, own, and operate these renewable facilities under a 25-year power purchase agreement with Northern Star. The partnership aims to build MGAC’s project management and delivery capabilities, enabling the corporation to pursue larger work packages in the future.
