Zenon Martyniuk threatens legal action against Jacek Kawalec

A dispute has emerged between disco polo singer Zenon Martyniuk and actor and vocalist Jacek Kawalec following a performance where Kawalec parodied Martyniuk and alleged the singer uses playback. Martyniuk has indicated intentions to pursue legal action regarding the claims.

The conflict escalated when Tomasz Zeliszewski, the leader of the band Budka Suflera, issued a public apology to Martyniuk on behalf of the group, criticizing Kawalec’s mockery. In response, Kawalec defended his actions as professional stage parody and stand-up, noting that he has performed such parodies for years outside of his work with the band.

Kawalec has since announced his departure from Budka Suflera, citing a breach of professional trust. He expressed frustration with Zeliszewski, claiming the drummer did not address the issue with him directly before issuing a public statement on behalf of the entire band.
