Zeph Thomas set for FA Cup debut with Dearne & District

Bradford‑born winger Zeph Thomas, 36, has made 39 club moves in 18 years, playing in England, Scotland, Canada, the United States and Belgium and earning caps for St Kitts & Nevis. After a career that included spells at clubs such as Cowdenbeath, Thunder Bay Chill and Montegnee, he was appointed player‑manager of ninth‑tier Dearne & District in 2024.

Dearne & District, fresh off winning the Northern Counties East League First Division, will contest their first ever FA Cup match in the extra‑preliminary round, travelling to face Runcorn Town. Thomas said the tie is “massive for the area” and marks a milestone after the club’s rapid rise from local Saturday leagues to the national competition.
