Zephyr Grill & Bar to close in downtown Livermore

Zephyr Grill & Bar, a long-standing establishment in downtown Livermore, will close its doors on First Street on October 31 after 22 years of operation. Owners Lynn and Randy Tei announced the decision via social media, noting that an attempt to sell the business without the brand name in an effort to sustain the restaurant was unsuccessful.

The restaurant, which opened in 2004, had recently faced challenges, including a small fire in its preparation area in July 2025 that necessitated a months-long closure. While the Livermore location is closing, the owners' other businesses, including Zephyr Grill & Bar in Brentwood and Smith’s Landing Seafood Grill in Antioch, will remain open.
