Zepp Health may introduce granular cloud sync controls for Amazfit
Analysis of the latest Zepp Android application APK (version 10.8.6) suggests that Zepp Health is developing granular privacy controls for Amazfit users. Instead of a single toggle for cloud synchronization, the update appears to introduce separate controls for health data, fitness data, and profile data.
Fitness data categories likely include workout records, heart rate during exercise, PAI, training load, VO2 max, and lactate threshold. Health data would cover broader wellness metrics. The update also includes an option to “Turn Off All Data Sync.”
However, disabling certain synchronization features may limit app functionality. The code indicates that some services rely on server-side processing; for instance, disabling profile syncing could result in “Contacts Unavailable” or “Limited Equipment Management.” Users may be warned about these consequences before opting for local-only storage.
