Özer Matlı proposes new management model for BTSO

Özer Matlı, a candidate for the presidency of the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO), has outlined a new vision focused on the growth and competitiveness of the organization’s 60,000 members. Matlı emphasized that the true strength of BTSO lies in the success of its members rather than its physical assets or project counts.

His proposed management model aims to move away from person-centered decision-making toward a system that reflects the collective will of the membership. This includes empowering the 61 existing committees to take more responsibility for their specific sectors and ensuring that the successes of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are integrated into a unified structure.

Key priorities include improving access to finance, expanding access to international markets, and supporting the integration of Bursa’s industrial, agricultural, and service sectors. Additionally, Matlı announced the opening of a Co-working Center designed to serve as a hub for problem-solving and strategic planning for the Bursa business community.
