Zero Motorcycles unveils the redesigned Zero S 2026 electric motorcycle
Zero Motorcycles has introduced the redesigned Zero S 2026, an electric naked motorcycle designed for entry-level access. Although homologated in the 11 kW category—allowing it to be driven with an A1 license or a car license held for three years—the model features advanced technology and performance that exceed traditional 125cc motorcycles. It is equipped with a Z-Force 75-7 permanent magnet synchronous AC motor, achieving a top speed of 139 km/h.
In the broader market, the electrification of two-wheeled vehicles in Spain is growing but lags behind global trends. In August 2026, 797 electric L-category vehicles were registered in Spain, a 25.9% increase year-over-year, though they represent only a 3.6% market share. While electric scooters hold a larger volume, the electric motorcycle segment is seeing faster growth at 35.9%, compared to the 24.9% growth of the overall motorcycle market.
