Zero Waste Journey Short Film Competition opens for applications

The Zero Waste Journey Short Film Competition has officially opened for applications. Organized under the auspices of Emine Erdoğan and coordinated by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change in collaboration with OPET, the initiative aims to strengthen environmental awareness during travel.

Participants aged 18 and older can submit a single short film, not exceeding two minutes, that explores zero waste practices such as preventing waste formation, reducing single-use products, preferring reusable items, and recycling.

Following a jury evaluation, the top 10 films will be subject to a public vote to determine the winners. Total prizes consist of 450,000 lira in technology gift vouchers, with 200,000 lira for first place, 150,000 lira for second, and 100,000 lira for third. Applications must be submitted online by November 30.
