ZERO ZERO ROBOTICS launches HOVERAir VERSA hybrid camera

ZERO ZERO ROBOTICS has launched a pre-sale campaign on Makuake for the HOVERAir VERSA, a hybrid device that functions as both a handheld gimbal camera and an autonomous drone. The device features a detachable flight wing that allows the user to switch between a traditional 3-axis mechanical gimbal camera and a flying drone camera.

The camera is equipped with a 1/1.3-inch sensor capable of 4K/60p video and 10-bit HDR. When used as a drone, it utilizes AI for automatic subject tracking and includes over 10 intelligent flight modes, such as orbit, zoom-out, and top-down views. It also supports palm-based takeoff and landing.

Technical specifications include a handheld weight of 163g, increasing to 230g with the flight wing attached. The device offers up to 180 minutes of handheld recording or 14 minutes of flight time per battery. It includes 64GB of internal storage and supports microSD cards up to 1TB. Due to its weight exceeding 100g, outdoor flight requires official registration in Japan.
