Zevenhuizen Trekkertrek tractor‑pulling festival draws 4,000 spectators

The fourth edition of the Trekkertrek tractor‑pulling festival will be held on Saturday, 1 August 2026, at Oudewijk 11 in Zevenhuizen, Netherlands. Organized by 20‑year‑old Robin Walters, the event has secured the required permits, set up a 80‑metre track, and arranged weighing times for tractors ranging from 2.5 to 7 tonnes. Local volunteers, sponsors and live music by Bertus Sipma will accompany the competitions.

Earlier this week, the annual tug‑of‑war segment of Trekkertrek in Koudekerk aan den Rijn attracted about 4,000 visitors. Eighty‑two teams competed across several classes, with mayor Erik van Heijningen and municipal officials taking part in a demonstration pull. The family‑run festival is also streamed live from Studio Alphen, allowing a wider audience to follow the action.
