Zeynep Sude Sezer assists family peach harvest in Samsun

In the Çarşamba district of Samsun, Zeynep Sude Sezer, a graduate student at Ondokuz Mayıs University, is assisting her father, Aydın Sezer, with the peach harvest. Despite her academic pursuits in radio, television, and cinema, the 26-year-old continues the family tradition of working in their agricultural fields.

The Sezer family manages approximately 75 decares of land, producing various crops including peaches, walnuts, hazelnuts, and corn. Zeynep noted that the family views farming not just as an economic activity, but as a shared tradition to support one another.

However, the harvest faces challenges this year. Zeynep reported that peach production has decreased by approximately half compared to last year, accompanied by a significant drop in prices.
