ZF outlines commercial vehicle technology trends and India's market growth

At the ZF CVS Global Technology Day 2026 in Germany, ZF executives outlined the future of the commercial vehicle industry, focusing on the convergence of automation, connectivity, and electrification (ACE).

Ivan Brajdic, Head of R&D for ZF’s Commercial Vehicle Solutions Division, emphasized that innovation now relies on combined system intelligence rather than isolated technologies. He noted that integrating braking systems with electric drivetrains can reduce control latency and improve safety and efficiency. These integrated capabilities are reportedly already production-ready.

Andreas Moser, a member of the ZF Board of Management, identified India as a primary growth engine for the global commercial vehicle sector. While markets in North America, South America, and China face various levels of uncertainty or weak domestic demand, Moser noted that India shows strong market momentum, high customer confidence, and expanding manufacturing capabilities.
