Özgür Özel rejects cooperation with CHP for presidential candidate

Özgür Özel, leader of the Yeni Parti, addressed political developments and future strategies during a live television broadcast on KOZA TV. Regarding potential cooperation with the Republican People's Party (CHP) for a presidential candidate, Özel stated, “It is absolutely not possible for us to have any cooperation with them.” He emphasized that the Yeni Parti intends to discuss its presidential candidate only with legitimate opposition groups.

Özel expressed his views on the current state of the CHP, suggesting that the party's current structure no longer represents the true Republican People's Party. He noted that many who were expelled or left the party hold more affection for its original values than those currently within the institution. He affirmed that the Yeni Parti is moving toward power and is focused on upcoming elections, expressing confidence that they will eventually win at the ballot box.

Additionally, Özel commented on recent political interactions involving Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, expressing full confidence in Yavaş.
