Zhang Peimian vs. Jonathan Di Bella set for ONE Championship kickboxing title bout in Bangkok

ONE Championship will stage a strawweight kickboxing world title rematch on July 17 at Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium. Chinese striker Zhang Peimian, the former challenger with a 20‑5 record and a two‑fight winning streak, will face reigning champion Jonathan Di Bella, the 29‑year‑old Italian‑Canadian who reclaimed the belt after defeating Prajanchai PongSuphan PK.

Zhang, who endured a two‑year spell of intense online criticism after a losing streak, says he has become mentally tougher and no longer reacts emotionally to praise or hate. He described his growth as “older, wiser and more equipped to handle the bright lights.”

Di Bella, meanwhile, promises a meaner, stronger performance, noting added muscle mass and the experience of five previous world‑title fights. He vows the rematch will be “fire” and expects Zhang to come with a revenge mindset, while he himself feels more seasoned and confident than in their 2022 encounter.
