Zhangping, China: 3-year-old girl rescued after hanging from 12th-floor window

A three-year-old girl was successfully rescued after becoming stuck outside a 12th-floor window in a residential building in Zhangping, Fujian province, China. The incident occurred on the morning of Saturday, October 17, after the child was left alone in the apartment while her mother was out shopping.

Videos of the incident show the child's body hanging outside the window, with only her head and arms caught between the metal security bars. While waiting for professional rescuers, security personnel and building management attempted to assist from the apartment directly below. Two men used a white stool to help support the child's weight and maintain her balance.

Firefighters eventually arrived and used power tools to force entry into the locked apartment, successfully bringing the girl back inside. Following the rescue, the child was taken to the hospital and was reported to be miraculously uninjured.
