Fujian, China: Three-year-old girl rescued from 12th-floor window

A three-year-old girl was rescued after becoming trapped in a window grille on the 12th floor of a residential building in Zhangping, Fujian province, China. The incident occurred on the morning of Saturday, October 17, when the child reportedly climbed through the safety bars, leaving her head stuck and her body dangling outside the apartment.

Neighbors and security staff provided critical assistance before emergency services arrived. Two men from the 11th-floor apartment reached out of their window to support the child's body using a stool to prevent her from falling. Firefighters eventually arrived, forced entry into the apartment, and cut through the metal bars to safely release her.

The child was taken to a hospital for a precautionary medical evaluation but reportedly sustained no serious injuries. Reports indicate the child was alone in the apartment at the time, as her mother had left her to sleep while going out to shop.
