Chinese actress Zhao Liying is currently taking a hiatus from professional activities to focus on health recovery, according to updates from her studio and team. Following a medical emergency in late August where she was hospitalized for severe hypoglycemia and electrolyte imbalance, her team confirmed on September 28 and 29 that she has completed a comprehensive medical examination and her condition is now stable.

The emergency occurred during a scheduled brand event in Hangzhou, where extreme temperature shifts between a high-heat outdoor environment and a heavily air-conditioned vehicle reportedly caused dizziness and physical weakness. This incident marks the first time in her nearly 20-year career that she has halted work due to health reasons.

While Zhao continues to review scripts, there are currently no immediate plans for new filming projects or public appearances. Her team stated that future work schedules and styling will be adjusted based on her physical recovery to prioritize her well-being. The hiatus has also sparked discussions regarding her long-term career direction and addressed various online rumors regarding her personal life.
