Zhejiang emergency crews respond to Typhoon Baihai damage

Following the landfall of Typhoon Baihai in Zhejiang province, emergency crews are working to mitigate damage caused by heavy rainfall and strong winds. The typhoon made landfall in Taizhou and Wenzhou, leading to localized flooding, landslides, and power outages.

In Linhai, authorities used sandbags to seal city gates to prevent river water from flooding the urban area, while fire departments deployed large-capacity drainage vehicles to combat internal waterlogging. In mountainous regions like Yongjia County, workers are clearing multiple landslides to restore road access to remote villages.

Utility workers are also conducting emergency repairs on power lines to restore electricity to affected areas. As weather conditions improve, local communities have begun the process of cleaning up silt and debris to restore normal life.
