Zhengfeng Bo Executes Business Associate in Chino Hills Kidnapping

Zhengfeng Bo, a 67‑year‑old Irvine real‑estate executive, kidnapped 60‑year‑old Shukur Aikebaer from the victim’s Chino Hills home, placed him in a car trunk and led San Bernardino County sheriff deputies on a high‑speed chase. After the vehicle stopped, Bo exited the driver’s seat, walked to the back of the car and fatally shot Aikebaer while he was still in the trunk. Deputies then opened fire, killing Bo.

Bo and Aikebaer were colleagues at Panshi Inc., a limited‑liability real‑estate investment firm based in Irvine, where Bo served as chief executive officer and Aikebaer as chief financial officer and secretary. Both men were involved in a dispute over a $20 million Pasadena apartment complex, with Bo suing the property’s managers, The Madison Collection LLC, to gain control of the development. An accomplice, 66‑year‑old Jianquan Bo, was also in the car during the incident. Police have not disclosed a motive, and Bo’s lawyer described him as “a very reasonable person.”
