Shanghai Active Technology Co., a startup focused on invasive brain‑computer interface (BCI) technology, announced the completion of a 3.3 billion yuan (approximately $460 million) angel‑round financing on August 3. The round set a Chinese BCI‑sector record and was led by Zhongke Chuangxing, with participation from investors including Lenovo Star, Jiuhe Ventures, Daotong Investment, Inno Angel Fund, BGI Songhe Biotech Fund, Jifeng Capital and Jiadao Capital.

The funding will be used to expand facilities, upgrade equipment, advance clinical trials and grow the team.
