Zhongnong Boding unveils 1000 HP crawler tractor in China

At the CIAME 2026 trade fair in Tianjin, Chinese manufacturer Zhongnong Boding Intelligent Equipment introduced the BD10002-10HV, a 1000 HP crawler tractor. The machine features a proprietary Boding Power 6BD57 engine and a continuously variable transmission (HMCVT), which the manufacturer claims is a world first for a tractor in this class.

Developed by the Boding Group, the tractor utilizes in-house designs for its engine, transmission, hydraulics, and electronic control systems. The company aims to compete with established brands like John Deere and Case IH by offering prices approximately one-third of the competition. Field testing for the BD10002-10HV is scheduled to begin in northeastern China, specifically in Heilongjiang, later this month.
