Zhongquan Community wins national anti-violence drama competition

The Zhongquan Community Development Association in Changhua City has won first place in the Senior Group at the Ministry of Health and Welfare’s ‘Gender-Based Violence Prevention Community Anti-Violence Drama National Finals.’ Out of 61 competing teams nationwide, 14 were selected for the finals after a preliminary script review. The association secured the championship by using an original script that integrated unique community characteristics and featured strong performances by local seniors.

In addition to the trophy, the association received a prize of NT$120,000. Changhua County Magistrate Wang Hui-mei congratulated the community, praising their long-term dedication to anti-violence promotion. The county's Social Affairs Department noted that the association has previously earned two ‘Purple Ribbon Community’ recognitions and achieved a ‘Low Carbon Sustainability Silver Certification’ in 2023 through various community mutual aid and environmental initiatives.
