Regional student transit and family events launched in Taiwan and China

In Taiwan, Hsinchu City is launching the ‘2026 Hsinchu Children’s Festival’ themed ‘Pika Oh Hi YO!’. Starting September 13, the initiative will feature a series of five touring events and a grand finale at Dan-ya Park on November 14. The program includes musical plays, interactive city explorations, and themed missions designed to introduce children to local landmarks like Qingcao Lake and the Hsinchu Fishing Port.

Simultaneously, in Zhu Bei, Taiwan, Mayor Cheng Chao-fang announced the resumption of the ‘Dual City Golden School Line’ free shuttle service on August 31 to support students returning to school. The service, which has seen a 98% occupancy rate, provides flexible transit for students attending high schools in Hsinchu City. To accommodate the first week of classes, return trip schedules have been temporarily adjusted.

In Chongqing, China, the Yangjiaping branch of the Chongqing Public Transport Group will introduce a new evening student shuttle service starting September 1. This dedicated line aims to assist students at Yucai Middle School (Dagongguan Campus) in returning home safely after evening self-study sessions, adding to the 10 existing student-specific routes in the area.
