Zhytomyr hosts Polish Culture Days festival in Ukraine

The Polish Culture Days festival has concluded in Zhytomyr, Ukraine. As one of the largest events for the Polish minority in the country, this year's gathering brought together over 200 participants.

The event culminated in the “Tęcza Polesia” (Polesia Rainbow) Polish Culture Festival, featuring performances from 22 ensembles representing Polish organizations and schools from across Ukraine. Organizers noted that the festival serves as a vital means of maintaining national identity amidst the ongoing war and Russian bombardments.

The XVIII Polish Culture Days and the XXXI International Polish Culture Festival “Tęcza Polesia” were organized by the Association of Polish Education Congress and the Zhytomyr Regional Association of Poles in Ukraine. Wiktoria Laskowska-Szczur, president of the Association, emphasized the importance of nurturing Polish identity among both older generations and youth as a sign of strength and unity against Russian aggression.
