ZiC’nZaC launches new sewing retreat destination in Neukirchen-Vluyn

ZiC’nZaC and burda style have announced a new creative travel destination in the Niederrhein region of Germany. A historical mill tower located within a two-hectare sculpture park in Neukirchen-Vluyn has been converted into a fully equipped sewing atelier known as the ‘Alte Mühle in der Dong’.

Starting in October 2026, the location will host various sewing-themed retreats, including six-day sessions, weekend workshops, patchwork and quilt events, and sewing machine training. These programs, initiated by Dr. phil. Joachim H. Bürger, are designed for hobbyist seamstresses and will feature professional instruction from coaches based in cities such as Florence, Munich, Cologne, and Baden-Baden.

The retreats typically include group sewing sessions in the mornings and seasonal excursions in the afternoons, such as visits to Düsseldorf or local museums. The facility is designed to provide all necessary technical equipment and accessories for participants.
