Zilqy releases new single ‘CAVEAT’ ahead of debut album

Japanese post-melodic nu-metal band Zilqy has released ‘CAVEAT’, the second advance single from their upcoming debut full-length album, ‘Birth of Riot’, scheduled for release on October 7 via Maverick DC Group.

Conceived by drummer Kano, ‘CAVEAT’ is noted as the band’s fastest track to date, featuring high-speed two-beat drumming and heavy guitar riffs contrasted by melodic synth-driven choruses. The song’s lyrics explore dystopian themes of individuals struggling to survive within an accelerating, inescapable social system.

A lyric video created by VJ/visual artist COCOA* has also been released, providing a satirical visual narrative of the song’s dystopian themes. The band recently debuted the track live at the Summer Sonic 2026 festival in Tokyo.
