ZIMA begins construction on residential projects in Vorarlberg

The real estate developer ZIMA has officially broken ground on two new residential projects in the Austrian state of Vorarlberg: TRIO in Lustenau and FEND8 in Altach. The two developments will collectively provide 44 condominiums and one medical practice space.

The TRIO project in Lustenau consists of three buildings containing 26 apartments, ranging from two to four rooms. These units will feature private outdoor spaces such as terraces or gardens. The FEND8 project in Altach will complete the remaining units. Both developments are designed with modern amenities, including heat pumps and photovoltaic systems.

Construction began in October 2026, with completion scheduled for summer or autumn 2028. ZIMA management noted that starting these projects is significant given the recent decline in construction activity in Vorarlberg and the ongoing demand for housing. The company stated that the ability to move into the construction phase was made possible by reaching target sales levels, which they view as a sign of buyer confidence despite challenging market conditions.
