Zimbabwe allocates 50 hectares of land for AFM university

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has allocated 50 hectares of land to the Apostolic Faith Mission (AFM) in Zimbabwe for the establishment of the church’s first university. The land is located in Chatsworth, Gutu, adjacent to the Rufaro Conference Centre.

Defence Minister Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri, representing the President, formally handed over the land offer letter to AFM Zimbabwe President Dr. Amon Dubie Madawo during the church’s annual national general conference. Muchinguri-Kashiri praised the AFM for its contributions to national development through its work in health, education, and agriculture, noting that the new university will support national human capital growth.

The church currently operates 24 schools across seven provinces and various community initiatives, including clinics and vocational training centres. During the conference, the Rufaro Clinic was also commissioned to serve the local community. Dr. Madawo expressed gratitude for the government’s enabling environment and requested further support for agricultural projects, science laboratories, and infrastructure improvements at the church’s existing facilities.
