Zimbabwe cricket suffers seven-wicket defeat to South Africa

Zimbabwe’s men’s cricket team, the Chevrons, suffered a seven-wicket defeat against South Africa in the Namibia T20I Tri-Series at the FNB Namibia Cricket Ground. After electing to bat, South Africa posted 185 for eight, fueled by Lhuan-dre Pretorius, who scored 94 from 51 deliveries. Other notable contributors for South Africa included Dewald Brevis with 41 and Jordan Hermann with 28.

Zimbabwe struggled in their response, being bowled out for 142. Sikandar Raza was the top scorer for Zimbabwe with 45 runs from 33 balls, supported by Newman Nyamhuri’s 27. Bjorn Fortuin led the South African bowling attack with four wickets. The defeat leaves Zimbabwe at the bottom of the standings with two points, trailing South Africa, who hold four points.
