Zimbabwe Football Association reports revenue growth and strengthens diplomatic ties

The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has reported a 12% increase in revenue, reaching US$4.645 million for the 2025 fiscal year. According to audited financial statements, the association's total revenue and other income combined reached approximately US$6.41 million, supported by government grants, sponsorships, and advertising.

While revenue grew, expenditure on football activities also rose significantly, with match-related costs increasing from US$2.17 million in 2024 to US$3.98 million in 2025. This rise is attributed to expanded national team activities and football programs. ZIFA ended the year with a modest deficit of US$67,143 and total assets of US$4.43 million.

In a separate strategic move, ZIFA leadership met with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade to strengthen cooperation for national teams traveling abroad. The discussions focused on utilizing diplomatic missions to provide logistical assistance and coordination for international assignments, supporting the association’s ‘Dream 2030’ vision for long-term football development.
