Fatal road accidents claim multiple lives in Ghana and Zimbabwe

Multiple fatal road accidents have been reported in Ghana and Zimbabwe.

In Ghana, a collision involving a Ford Transit and a Toyota Hiace on the Sege-Ada Highway resulted in 13 deaths and left five others in critical condition. The Ghana National Fire Service reported that 18 people were involved in the crash. Additionally, a crash on the Accra-Kumasi Highway at Dr. Marbel Junction, involving a DAF truck, a VW Sprinter bus, and a tricycle, claimed two lives and injured six others. Preliminary investigations suggest the truck suffered brake failure.

In Zimbabwe, a major tragedy occurred on the Harare-Masvingo Road when a truck attempting to overtake another vehicle struck a minibus carrying members of the African Apostolic Church. The accident resulted in 28 fatalities, including 14 children. President Emmerson Mnangagwa has declared a state of calamity to facilitate government assistance for the victims and their families.
