Zimbru Chișinău women's team set for UEFA Champions League debut

Moldova's champion women's side, FC Zimbru Chișinău, will make its first appearance in the UEFA Women's Champions League preliminary round. The squad travels to Kosovo to meet the local champions KFF Mitrovica in the Group 2 semi‑final on Wednesday at 17:30, with the match staged at the Zahir Pajaziti stadium in Podujevo.

The players have spent a month training in Mitrovica, fielding a 20‑woman roster that includes Adelina Șalaru, Veronica Cojuhari and Adela Borșci, who said the emotions are positive and the team is focused on securing a victory. If Zimbru win, they will face either Iceland's KÍ Klaksvík or Bulgaria's Ludogorets in the group final, with the winner progressing to the second preliminary round of the competition.
