Zinacantepec hosts food festival and Cuautlancingo opens new fire station

In Zinacantepec, the 2026 Gastronomic Sea Festival concluded after three days of cultural and culinary activities. Mayor Manuel Vilchis stated that the event aimed to strengthen community ties and support local restaurateurs, artisans, and merchants. The festival, held at the Plaza Cívica, featured local cuisine and musical performances, including a closing set by the group Marca Registrada. Local police and the State of Mexico Security Secretariat maintained a presence to ensure safety during the festivities.

In Cuautlancingo, Mayor Omar Muñoz inaugurated the municipality’s first fire station with a total investment of 6.7 million pesos. The 300-square-meter facility includes offices, a monitoring room, and a 56,000-liter cistern. Of the total investment, 4.95 million pesos were allocated to construction, while 1.79 million pesos were used for specialized equipment such as breathing apparatus and gas detectors. The station is intended to improve emergency response times for the municipality’s industrial and commercial sectors.
