Eos Energy Enterprises secures $75 million investment and launches rights offering as stock falls
Eos Energy Enterprises, a U.S. developer of zinc‑based long‑duration battery storage, announced a $75 million equity investment from Hudson Bay Capital Management, alongside a $50 million conditional commitment to its Frontier Power USA project. The funding brings Frontier Power USA’s equity base to about $375 million, supporting over $1.5 billion of deployable storage projects.
At the same time, Eos disclosed a virtual investor presentation for a rights offering that will remain available until July 21. The rights offering is intended to raise additional capital for Frontier Power USA and other growth initiatives.
Earlier in the week, Eos shares slipped 6.32 % to $4.74 after the company exercised its exclusive right to select four battery projects for Frontier Power USA, a move that initially lifted the stock before the decline continued.
These actions aim to accelerate financing and deployment of Eos’s zinc‑based storage technology across utility‑scale, micro‑grid, commercial and industrial applications.
