Zinedine Zidane excludes Chelsea's Malo Gusto from France squad

France manager Zinedine Zidane has omitted Chelsea defender Malo Gusto from his recent international squad. Reports from L’Equipe suggest the decision stems from concerns regarding Gusto’s defensive capabilities, with Zidane reportedly believing the 23-year-old lacks the necessary defensive intelligence required for his tactical system.

Despite being a regular for Chelsea under manager Xabi Alonso and having earned 16 caps for France, Gusto was passed over in favor of players such as Jules Kounde and Pierre Kalulu. While Chelsea reportedly values the player at approximately £80m and considers him a key part of their squad, his exclusion from the national team raises questions about his long-term role with Les Bleus.
