Zinedine Zidane finds privacy in small Almería village
Zinedine Zidane has established a private residence in El Chive, a small hamlet of approximately 60 inhabitants in the Sierra de los Filabres, Almería. The connection to this Andalusian region is through his wife, Véronique Fernández, whose parents emigrated from this area in the 1960s.
Zidane’s home, known locally as ‘El Chorrico’, is a three-story building that stands out from the traditional white architecture of the former mining village. The residence serves as a summer retreat where the former Real Madrid manager seeks anonymity away from media attention.
In a separate discussion regarding the pressures of professional sports, football goalkeeper Vozinha addressed the personal toll of international fame. She noted that while her success allows her to serve as a role model, the constant public exposure and lack of privacy have resulted in a loss of personal peace.
